Police seek robbery suspect

Suffolk police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Sunday night at the 7-Eleven store in the 1100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard.

Dispatchers received word of the robbery at 11:35 p.m. Sunday. Responding officers learned that a suspect had entered the store, displayed a handgun and then took cash from the register, fleeing the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a camouflage facemask, a dark knit cap without a brim, a black jacket, gray or dark-blue pants and white Nike shoes that appeared dirty or well-worn.

There were no injuries in the incident.
