Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority will distribute applications on Tuesday for the waiting list for Heron’s Landing single-room occupancy apartments.

Qualified applicants must be single people who are homeless. Homeless is defined as those who lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence, with a primary nighttime residence that is a supervised public or private shelter, such as welfare hotels, congregate shelters or transitional housing, or an institution providing temporary residence for individuals intended to be institutionalized.

Those living with relatives or friends on a temporary basis are not considered homeless.

The applications will be distributed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 12 at the SRHA offices, 530 E. Pinner St. The phone number is 539-2100.

Applications will be distributed on a walk-in basis only. Bring original Social Security card, original birth certificate, non-expired picture identification, verification of income and verification of homelessness.
