Man robs tanning salon

Suffolk police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Monday afternoon.

The robbery was reported at 2:33 p.m. at the Sundays Blue Box Tanning Resort in the 6200 block of College Drive, according to a city press release.

The clerk told police the robber entered the store, presented a knife and demanded money from the register. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area in an unknown direction.

No one was injured, according to the press release.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 30 years old, with facial hair and crooked teeth. He was wearing a black hoodie, white shirt, blue jeans and sunglasses.
