Sallie Mozelle Giles, 103.7, passed in her residence on Dec. 16, 2017.

She was born in Ninety-Six, S.C., and preceded by her husband, Robert Henry Giles. She was a local Seventh-day Adventist for more than 50 years and served in many capacities.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Mamie Dailey (Alfred) and Sylvia Bennett (Richard); two sisters, Annie Bell Radden and Viola Wilkes, both of Asheville, N.C.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a special caregiver, Angela Arrington, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Prentis Park Seventh-day Adventist, 3709 Winchester Drive, Portsmouth. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
