William Morris Goodman, 88, entered into eternal rest Jan. 3, 2018.

He was born Aug. 30, 1929, to the late William and Mary Goodman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Moore Goodman, and later by his wife of 50 years, Eugenia Wellons Goodman. He was also preceded in death by a son, James Turner, and two grandchildren.

He was employed by Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a supervisor and was the owner and operator of Goodman’s Bus Service.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandra LaVerne Whitney; three sons, Marvin L. Goodman, William Eugene Goodman (Annette) and Domonique Key Sr. (DaJanee); seven grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel Goodman (Fannie) and Roland L. Goodman (Vivian); two sisters, Elizabeth Jordan and Virginia Rollins (Frank); brother-in-law, Sgt. Maj. (Ret.) William Hill (Saralynn).

A celebration of life will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries, 307 County St., Suffolk. He will be laid to rest in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
