Lillie Silver Thompson, 91, of Suffolk, passed away Jan. 8, 2018.

She was born in Enfield, N.C., to the late Wesley Silver and Ada Ward Silver. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Thompson Sr., and her son, James E. Thompson Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Thompson Royster; two sisters, Barbara Chatman Silver and Rita Silver Reid (Johnnie); four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held at noon Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at First Baptist Church, 112 Mahan St., Suffolk. Professional services have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
