Claude Berry, 87, of Kenmore Street, Suffolk, transitioned Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at his residence. He was the son of the late Althea Myrick Berry and William Arthur Berry Jr. He retired from Birdsong Peanut Company. He was a member of Living Word Ministry (Pastor William P. Wiggins Jr.).

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Berry, of Suffolk; sister, Sarah Sugars; children; host of grandchildren; nieces; nephews; friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Jan. 17, 2018, at Greater Sweet Beulah Apostolic Church. He will be laid to rest in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
