Suffolk Public Schools students will be going to school 10 minutes longer per day starting Monday to make up for two snow days in January.
The snow days on Jan. 17-18 will be made up through the additional time. Monday starts the second semester, and the additional time will continue through June 14, the last day of school.
Middle school students will now get out of school at 2:10 p.m., with high school getting out at 3:10 p.m. Elementary A schools will now get out at 3:45 p.m., with Elementary B schools getting out at 4 p.m.
Make-up days for the first snowstorm, where students were out of school for five days, had previously been set. The first one was Jan. 29, originally a clerical day.
Students will also attend school on Feb. 16, originally a parent-teacher conference day; Feb. 19, originally Presidents Day holiday; and March 6, originally scheduled as a professional development day.
