Zoës Kitchen will give away free sports cups in the first month of business, with free refills for those cups, per the press release. The restaurant also has a promotional social media campaign.

“The first 500 people to sign up will be emailed a buy one, get one entrée on opening day, and the person who refers the most friends to enter through their post will be awarded Zoës for a Year,” according to the press release. The winner will be announced at the opening and be given a cooler filled with “Mediterranean goodness.”

Then, on March 27, Metro Diner is expected to open its doors to serve its brand of comfort food at 2051 Sun Harbour Ave., spokeswoman Hillary Schrum of Sandy Hillman Communications said in an email.

The 3,800-square-foot diner will seat more than 100 guests and serve up dishes like fried chicken and waffles topped with strawberry butter, and the Holy Davoli Burger with a patty flanked by two grilled cheese sandwiches and topped with the diner’s house-made coleslaw, according to the press release.

“Metro Diner is known for its warm, welcoming service, large portion sizes and indulgent comfort food with flair. With most dishes priced under $15, the eatery offers a great value during their all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner,” the press release states.

Tijuana Flats, a fast-casual Tex-Mex chain with a penchant for hot sauces, is also opening a branch at the new shopping destination. Opening is set for May 7.
