Three King’s Fork High School baseball players finalized their futures during a recent signing ceremony.
Juan Marrero, Noah Floyd and Chris Allen will each be going to play college baseball. In a signing ceremony at the school Wednesday afternoon, all three of the Bulldogs signed their National Letters of Intent.
Allen will be headed to the University of Maryland—Eastern Shore. Allen had committed back in December. He competed in a lot of showcases and drew a lot of interest from other schools, but UMES offered him a roster spot immediately.
Marrero will be headed to Piedmont International University. He also committed back in December. The school provided him with the opportunity to play at the next level and continue his education. It is also a Christian school, and Marrero believes the school he chose will help him keep his faith stronger than ever.
Floyd will be headed to Marymount University. He competed in some Commonwealth Games a few months ago, and they contacted him after and hosted him for a visit. When he got there, they offered him a roster spot. They won him over immediately after his visit.
“It felt like home; it suits me,” Floyd said. “They make me feel like a person and not another number, and I feel like I can do well and grow as a man with them.”
All three of the seniors are happy for each other to be able to play at the next level, and they want to continue that momentum during the season so they can go as far as they can.
“This is a great thing. We are more of a team than we ever have been before,” Floyd said. “We all want each other to succeed, and I think we are very talented. As long as we continue to carry each other whenever is needed, we will be fine.”
