David Meacham was granted freedom from cancer, pain and heartache on May 29, 2018.

He was predeceased by his beloved uncle, Randy Thomas Gardner, and grandfather, D.T. Gardner, who are surely waiting for him in heaven.

David is survived by his mother, Faye Elizabeth Gardner; his son, Christopher Thomas Meacham; daughter, Elizabeth Meacham; brother, Bryan Thomas Meacham; and grandmother, Florence Gardner. All of them will miss him every day.

David had been a business owner in Suffolk for many years and owned property in North Carolina, where he spent many happy hours with his children.

He was a very talented man who could build and fix anything. His final years were not what he would want to be remembered for, but a memory of moments where he touched your life would be a welcome memorial to his family. David, who is gone too soon, is a reminder to show love to those who matter and to be kind to one another.
