Senior Noah Floyd was a first team All-Southeastern District selection for King’s Fork High School.

Even though the Bulldogs didn’t make the playoffs this season, they were still able to see someone represented in postseason accolades. Floyd was selected as a first team utility player. The senior felt good about the honor he received and was proud of what his team was able to accomplish this season.

“It is nice to end my senior year on that note, because I have worked really hard, and it paid off,” he said.

Floyd didn’t have this accolade on a list of things he wanted to accomplish this season; he just wanted to be a good teammate and help his team succeed. He had some memorable moments this season, with one being his walk-off single that helped the Bulldogs defeat rival Lakeland High School on senior night. He also had an excellent game against Oscar Smith High School, where he went 3-4 with an RBI from the plate and struck out 12 in a pitching win on the mound.

The senior Bulldog will now head to Marymount University to continue his baseball career there and is excited about his future.
