Willie Lee “Bunk” Harris, 78, son of the late Lillian W. Harris and Robert Lee Harris, was born Oct. 3, 1939, in Nansemond County. He entered eternal rest on Monday, June 18, 2018, at Sentara Obici Hospital. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bessie Mae Harris, and two brothers, Robert “Jack” Harris and Thomas Earl Harris.

He was employed with Suffolk Concrete for 20-plus years as a truck driver.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Kimberly Campbell (Marc), of Capital Heights, Md., and Salena Featherson (Shawn), of Suffolk; four sons, Shelton Scott (Joy), of Kew Gardens, N.Y., Roderick Harris (Dawn), of Suffolk, Adrian Harris (Kia), of Suffolk, and Delvin Holland, of Suffolk; four sisters, Henrietta Cherry, Shirley Parker, Mary Harris and Mollie Harris, all of Suffolk; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Rising St. James P.H.C., 201 N. Sixth St., Suffolk, VA 23434. The Rev. Robert A. Wilkins will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
