Rita Faye Vincent Hayes Fleetwood, 71, of Battery Avenue, transitioned Saturday, June 23, 2018, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Ovilla B. Vincent and Theodore R. Vincent Sr. She was a member of East End Baptist Church and many organizations.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 25 years, Dennis Fleetwood, of Suffolk; three daughters, Nicole M. Jackson (Darryl), of Suffolk, Judy Tuawana Hayes, of Sandy Springs, Ga., and Nyoka I. Berro (Carlos), of Newport News; son, Freddie L. Hayes Jr (Rita), of Virginia Beach; sister, Paulette J. Mills (Robert), of Portsmouth; three brothers, Theodore R. Vincent Jr., of Suffolk, Dwight L. Vincent Jr., of Norfolk, and Michael D. Vincent, of Suffolk; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one grand-angel; one grand Mimi; a dear friend, Edna Mitchell Boone; in-laws; and a host of relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018, at East End Baptist Church, 1056 Portsmouth Blvd. Dr. Wayne D. Faison will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
