W. Michael Babb passed away peacefully on July 4, 2018, at 71 years young. He left this life on a day very fitting for how he lived, a day of celebration.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Karen; his daughter, Brooke; cousins, Diane Dodson, Jane (JA) Savage, Ashely (Steve) Marchetti, Lindsay (Todd) Sink, and Ralph (Bonnie) Mizelle. He is now reunited with his father, Staley, mother, Mavis G., and brother, David Babb.

His love for family and friends were immeasurable, fishing and dancing were his joy, and his passion for animals showed the depth of his tenderness. He was a loving and devoted father, husband and friend. His contagious smile was a gift, spreading joy and love to others.

His high school annual said it all: “Enjoy life, every golden minute of it” — and he did.

A celebration of his life will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, at West End Baptist Church, in Suffolk.
