Elder Pinky Catherine Boone-Brown, 64, overcame her last battle with cancer when God reached down, declared her the winner and took her to an everlasting reward on Thursday, July 12, 2018.

Pinky was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Suffolk, Tidewater Community College in Portsmouth and Norfolk Theological Seminary. She was a U.S. Army veteran and was blessed to retire from the federal government after 30 years of service.

She will be sorely missed by her three children, Catrina Mitchell (Dexter), whom she frequently introduced as her oldest daughter; Calvin Clark, her only son; and the baby girl, Angel Brown; her four grandchildren, Crystal Whitehead, Desmonee’ Mitchell, De Andre Mitchell and Edgardo Lopez; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
