Shearin is approaching his senior season but won’t be spending it at King’s Fork. He will spend his senior season at IMG Academy in Florida.

When Shearin made the decision not too long after his junior season, he felt like it was going to be the best thing for him moving forward. IMG is widely regarded as one of the powerhouse high school football programs in the country. The idea is for Shearin to gain more exposure through the program.

He currently has 10-plus offers, all from NCAA Division I programs. Schools such as North Carolina State University, Rutgers, Syracuse University and University of Missouri are on the list.

With a strong senior season, Shearin could see himself in a position to receive even more offers. On the major recruiting sites, he is listed as a three-star prospect, with five being the highest.

Even though Shearin is no longer at King’s Fork, he was a part of an abundance of talent to come through the program. He started at defensive back for three seasons and helped King’s Fork win its first Southeastern District title. During the process, he was an All-District, All-Region and All-State selection.
