Christine Bryant Chappell, 53, daughter of the late Rebecca Rogers Eilers and Michael D. Shelton, crossed over to be in her Heavenly Father’s arms on Aug. 27, 2018, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Christine leaves behind her children, Ashley Hafford, Wendy Anson, Trey Chappell and Cody Chappell; stepmother, Kay Shelton; grandchildren, Kyley Hafford, Keyara Babb, Layla Anson, Kaylin Cates, Carter Cates, Lillie Anson and Camden Chappell; stepsister, Nicole Barnes, and stepbrother, Chris Dennis, and their families; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will truly miss her kindness, big heart and sense of humor.

Chris’s family would like to thank family, friends and nursing staff for their support and love during the past few months.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Sept. 1, 2018, at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434.
