Police investigate fatal crash

A North Carolina man died in a crash on Whaleyville Boulevard early Thursday.
Teric A. Moody, 23, of Eure, was killed when his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer in the 7000 block of Whaleyville Boulevard, according to a city press release. The crash happened about 6:08 a.m., the news release states.
Moody was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The roadway was closed for most of the day to allow for the ongoing investigation. Detours were established at Little Fork Road and Collins Road.
The cause remains under investigation.
