Nansemond-Suffolk Academy went on the road and got a big 34-15 win against Atlantic Shores Christian School on Friday.

NSA was without its top playmaker, George Pettaway, who was out with an injury, but Ehron Knight stepped up and had three touchdowns on the night to lead the Saints.

“Defensively, we did a lot of good things,” Coach Mike Biehl said. “Offensively, we took a bit longer to get started. We were in a dog fight, and we had to find a way to get out of it.”

NSA will likely keep its No. 1 ranking in the polls into their bye week. It was good for the Saints to get a gritty win Friday night. They have been through multiple different obstacles so far.

“We are not going to apologize for how we win,” Biehl said. “We are going to have to figure out how good we want to be, and that’s going to start with how hard we work. We can do some special things, but we have to work.”
