Do you really believe that?

It’s easy to go through life looking at all the reasons why you can’t accomplish a dream, or get through problems, or meet the right person in life. But when God laid out the plan for our lives, He set up everything we needed to fulfill our destiny for life.

As a pastor, as a person going through life, one who desires to do God’s will and wanting to be smack dab in the middle of where God wants me to be, there are times I needed to know that my life has already been set, and that I was in fact on course. I wanted to know for sure that God had placed me where I was. Our lives have already been set and approved by God. Nothing happens in life without going across our Father’s desk. He sees and knows everything.

In Luke 22, Jesus told Peter and John to go into Jerusalem and make arrangements for them to eat the Passover meal. He told them as they entered the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water would meet them and lead them to a certain house. They were to ask the owner where the guest room was where Jesus could eat the Passover meal with His disciples. Jesus said, the owner will take you upstairs to a large room that is already set up. The right person, the right time, the right house, everything fell into place. The table was already set for what the Lord wanted to happen.

Know this:

  • God is not only strategically directing our steps; He’s also working everything around us.
  • God knows exactly what He’s doing in our lives, at all times.
  • God can be trusted to set up everything for each of us, no matter how it looks.

You don’t have to try to make things happen, you don’t have to push or force your way through a door. No, you have a God who has already prepared the way, all the way. He’s The God who has ordered every step. Know that your life is already set, just stay in prayer.
