Jean E. Richardson was born Jan. 18, 1938, in Nansemond County to the late Murphy Rountree and Anna Faulk Rountree. Jean was a domestic worker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie L. Richardson Sr., daughter, Brenda Richardson; grandson, Alvin Richardson; granddaughter, Theresa Goodman; brother, Wallace Rountree and Mammie Rountree.

Sadly, on Monday, Nov. 6, 2018, she went to rest. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Lonnie L. Richardson Jr., the Rev. James Richardson (Cynthia), Dennis Richardson (Elsie), Donald Richardson; daughters, Betty Goodman and Barbara Hodges (Minister Lonnie Hodges); sisters, Evelyn Faulk and Eva Bakers; brother, Ronald Holland (Viola); 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Doris Pilgram; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at noon, Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at Zion Christian Church. Rev. Richardson will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
