Marin E. Spruill, of Pulaski Lane, Carrsville, transitioned to be with the Lord on Nov. 17, 2018. She was born on May 10, 1932, to Clarence and Pattie Daughtrey.

She received her formal education in the public school system in Isle of Wight County. At an early age, she joined Pulaski Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her death. She was a member of the Gospel, Senior and Inspirational Choirs. She was also a member of the Seminarian Ministry. In June 2006, Marin retired from the Isle of Wight Public School System after 25 years of service.

Marin was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Mary Alice Cross and Linard Cross; five sisters; and two brothers. Her memory will live forever in the hearts of her daughters, Cathy Cross, of Hyattsville, Md., and Dr. Mildred Cross, of Carrsville; two granddaughters, Melinda Edwards (Ryan), of Surry, Joy Allen, of Hyattsville, Md.; one grandson, Dawntea Cross (Erin), of Waldorf, Md.; two great-grandchildren, Nancy (Marshae) and Bryan; one great-great-grandchild Malia aka Cupcake; one brother-in-law, Thomas Cross (Selena), of Portsmouth; nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

A homegoing service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at Pulaski Baptist Church, 8431 Carrsville Highway, Carrsville, with the pastor, the Rev. Dr. R.E. Rodgers, delivering the eulogy. The committal and benediction will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Spruill’s remains will rest in church for viewing by 10 a.m. A traditional service with dignity by Wm. M.
