A man was charged after his truck ran into an East Washington Street beauty salon late Friday night.

City spokeswoman Diana Klink said the crash was reported at 11:46 p.m. A truck was found in the storefront of Sonny’s Guys and Dolls in the 100 block of East Washington Street. A light pole and stop sign were also damaged in the crash.

After investigation, Kevin James Scribner, 37, of Franklin, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and two counts of destruction of property, Klink stated.

There were no injuries and no structural damage to the building, Klink stated.
