Edward Nelson Cassada passed away from an apparent heart attack at the residence he shared with his wife and life-long partner, Jacquelin Culpepper “Jackie” Cassada, in Barboursville on Nov. 30, 2018.

He spent his final day helping neighbors clear downed trees and retrieve a bull that had strayed. The actions of his final day on earth tell the story of Ed’s life — he was always there to help a friend or family member in need.
