Lady Saints dominate Northeastern

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ basketball team took on Northeastern High School Thursday night at Perquimans High School.

The Lady Saints took on Northeastern on the first day of the holiday tournament at Perquimans High School. They grabbed their biggest win of the season at 53-19.

NSA had a 20-4 lead after one quarter of play. They led 35-9 at halftime before putting the game away in the second half.

Alivia Giles led the Lady Saints with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Cammy Reid added 14 points 11 rebounds. Alyssa Waddy finished with 10 rebounds to give NSA three players with double-figure rebounds.

NSA now has a record of 4-4. Their first home game of the new year will come Jan. 4 when they take on St. Catherine’s High School.
