William Conealus Townsell, affectionately known as W.C., was born on July 9, 1938, to the late Leslie and Mary Smith Townsell of the Hobson community in Suffolk. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 125 County St. The Rev. Dr. Robert Hobbs will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
