Margaret Christie McGlynn, 72, of River Crescent, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019. A native of Aberdeen, Scotland, she was retired as director of human resources for CIBA. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward W. and Margaret Webster Christie; two brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Michael J. McGlynn; a daughter, Lesley M. Pleasants and husband, Brian, of Portsmouth; a son, Patrick Edward McGlynn, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; five grandchildren, Seth, Cori and Alec Pleasants and Madison and Blake McGlynn; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennett’s Creek Chapel by the Rev. Waverly Smith. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
