Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Kemonye Canady, freshman, Lakeland High School basketball: Canady scored 20 points in a Lady Cavs win over Southampton High School.
• Keontae Boyette, senior, King’s Fork High School basketball: Boyette went for 32 points in the Bulldogs’ showcase win over Huguenot High School.
• Jadyn Patton, freshman, Suffolk Christian Academy basketball: Patton scored 14 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists and four steals in an SCA win over Summit Christian Academy.
• Andrew Betts, junior, Nansemond River High School swimming: Betts had four first-place finishes, which included two relays, in the Warriors’ win over Deep Creek High School.
