Bring it all to Jesus

“And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.” —Mark 1:32
Do we bring everything to Jesus?
The family was sitting in the waiting room at the hospital, when the doctor came out and said, “I have some not so good news.” He said, “Your father only has a few hours to live.”
This statement caused the family to feel so bad. Many of them said, “We don’t know what to do, because Daddy did everything for us. We are lost without Daddy.”
A few members of the family started to walk out of the hospital, when one of them spoke up and said, “Hey, wait a minute — we need to bring this to Jesus.”
The Bible says they brought everything to Jesus, and He healed them. Peter’s mother-in-law was also sick. Peter told it to Jesus, and He laid His hand on her. He has the power to lay His hand across this country, across the various cities, in all communities, and in any family, bringing healing.
When we bring it to Jesus, He has the power to change the situation. He has the power to change the dynamics. If the truth be told, sometimes we fail to bring it to Jesus. We act as though at times He can’t do it. We act just like He don’t have time for us. We act like we don’t want to bother Him with what we are going through, or maybe perhaps our issues are so deep that there is no solution, when He is there waiting to step in our situation.
When we bring it to Him, what we are saying is:
4We know He can heal our bodies. Nothing is too hard for God. Our physical bodies can be touched and healed by the God who created us.
4He can remove any spirit that’s lingering in us that should not be, whatever keeps you feeling a certain way and keeps you from doing certain things. Whatever keeps you separated and divided from various people, places or things, the Lord has the ability to remove it. When nothing else would do, it was the Lord who lifted us.
All we need to do is bring it to Jesus. We don’t need to keep worrying about it. We don’t need to keep talking about it. All we need to do is give it totally to the Lord. We need to take our burdens to the Lord and leave them there.
The hymn writer shared, “He touched me, and oh the joy that floods my soul. Something happened and now I know, He touched me and made me whole.”
I’m so glad that what people say is not the last word. What people do is not the last thing that can be done. We have to always know that we have a God who can do exceedingly and abundantly all that we can ask or think.
I dare you, to bring what you have to Jesus. I dare you to ask the Lord to take it over. Watch Him work, and if He has done it before, He can do it again. Bring everybody who believes together, and say we need to bring this matter to Jesus. It doesn’t make a difference what matter it is. He is there to fix it. Give Him a chance to fix it. Give Him a chance to handle it. He can do it. Just cast all of your concerns over to Him, because as the Bible says, He cares for you.
