Father Wayne C. Hodge Sr. 72, of Suffolk, departed on Friday, March 15, 2019, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Brown Hodge, and a brother, Ernest L. Hodge Jr.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memory a son, Wayne Jr. (Prema), of New York, N.Y.; two daughters, Erika Hodge Harris, of Laurel, Md., and Maya N. Hodge, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a granddaughter, Mariya Harris; and two grandsons, Travis Harris Jr. and Liam Hodge. He is also survived by a sister Charlotte H. Martin (Tony), of Covington, and a brother, Ronald (Felicia), of Durham, N.C.

A memorial service will be held with remembrances at 11 a.m. and memorial to commence at 11:25 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 142 Tynes St. Suffolk. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
