The King’s Fork High School softball team picked up another win against Deep Creek High School Tuesday evening.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-1 on the season after the 9-6 home win. King’s Fork showed it could bounce back after taking a loss to Hickory High School at the end of last week.

After going up 1-0 after the first inning, the Lady Bulldogs were down 2-1 going into the third inning before bringing home four runs. With a 5-3 lead heading into the sixth inning, the Lady Bulldogs bought home four runs to extend their lead to six. A late push from Deep Creek in the seventh inning cut the lead down, but it wasn’t enough.

Cali Hinnant pitched a complete game, striking out eight and allowing no earned runs. Hinnant was also 1-3 with a home run. Hanna Williamson was 1-2 with two RBIs and a run scored. Selinna Saba was 2-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Saba also added two doubles.
