Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Seth Townsend, senior, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy baseball: Townsend went 4-5 with five RBIs and two home runs in a win against Walsingham Academy.

Lonni Cox, junior, King’s Fork High School soccer: Cox scored two goals in a Lady Bulldogs win over Wilson High School.

Brooke Howe, freshman, Lakeland High School softball: Howe hit an in-the-park home run in a win over Hopewell High School.

Taylor Jones, sophomore, Nansemond River High School soccer: Jones scored a hat trick and had two assists in a 13-0 win.
