Irene Hall, 80, of Myrick Avenue, Suffolk, transitioned Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Annie Mae Jones and Clifton Jones. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Harris Jr.; four sisters, Gladys O. Jones, Hattie Jones, Eleanora Jones, Valerie Merricks; sons-in-law, Kenneth L. Dowling and Alton L. Reid.

She retired from National Linen Service Company and was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Clinton C. Hall, of Suffolk; two daughters, Cynthia D. Dowling, of Norfolk, and Irene Reid, of Suffolk; two sisters, Delorise Knight, of Suffolk, and Helen Brown, of Portsmouth; brother, Clifton D. Jones (Shirley); four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019, at Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 215 Webb St., Suffolk. Dr. N.P. Chambers will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving guests at 2101 Myrick Ave., Suffolk.
