The Suffolk News-Herald this week announced it will hold an online reader survey through the end of the month, and three readers will win a $50 gift card in appreciation for their participation.

The survey should take about seven minutes to complete and asks readers’ opinions on the newspaper’s coverage of different topics and areas for improvement.

This is the first reader survey in recent memory, and Editor Tracy Agnew said the newspaper is looking forward to hearing what readers have to say.

“While we always welcome comments, questions and concerns from readers in a number of different formats — including visits, telephone calls and emails, as well as social media interaction — we are excited to try out this new method of feedback,” Agnew said. “We hope all of our readers will take time to fill out the survey and anticipate this will be a great way to hear from readers who may not normally reach out through other means.”

At the end of the survey, readers will be able to leave their contact information if they wish to opt in to the drawing. All other responses will be anonymous.

Three winners will get a $50 gift card each.

The survey is available at www.surveymonkey.com/r/SNHsurvey. It will end on April 30.
