It was a small but enthusiastic turnout for the FabulouZly Fit & Finer 5K Walk/Run on Saturday on the Suffolk Seaboard Coastline Trail.

The event is held by the Epsilon Theta Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. It had been rescheduled from the previous Saturday due to rain, and it was still a gloomy day when it took place. About a dozen people walked the trail for the event.

“Given the weather and the date change, we’re grateful for what we have,” said Clementine Cone, the ways and means chair for the chapter.

There were more vendors and sponsors on site, and Cone said the chapter was grateful for their support. Sponsors included F3 Travel, CVS and Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Vendors were Amway, Damsel in Defense, Traci Lynn Jewelry and Mary Kay.

“We really do appreciate their support,” she said.

The event is in support of the Suffolk Relay for Life.

“Our chapter has traditionally participated in and been supportive of the Relay for Life,” Cone said. “We want this event to support our efforts for Relay.”
