Lakeland High School took its second loss to Grassfield High School on Thursday evening.

The Lakeland baseball team scored one run in the 12-1 loss. Grassfield went up 4-1 in the first inning, with Lakeland scoring its only run of the game during the first.

Lakeland had six hits on the evening, with Demonta Hawkins going 3-3 with a triple and scoring the Cavs’ only run. Tyler Spencer and Hawkins handled pitching duties, with Spencer taking the loss.
