Joy Carter Johnson died on April 28, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019, in the Suffolk Pentecostal Holiness Church, now named Radiant Life Ministries, 100 Kilby Shores Drive, by the Rev. Norwood Starling and the Rev. Don Milner. Burial will be held at Bethlehem Christian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk. Memorial donations can be sent to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad.
