Lady Warriors hold off Salem

The Nansemond River High School softball team took a 2-1 win over Salem High School Monday evening.
Toni Jones led from the plate for the Lady Warriors, going 2-3 with two runs. Er’ron Burton handled pitching duties for the Lady Warriors and got the win. Nansemond River took the 2-1 lead after the third inning and maintained until the end.
