A CSX train struck a trailer being pulled by a truck Tuesday afternoon on the track in the 1300 block of Portsmouth Boulevard, according to a city news release.

The Suffolk Police Department and Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded at 12:16 p.m. to the accident, the release stated, with a preliminary investigation determining that the driver of the truck was attempting to cross the track when the train struck the trailer.

There were no injuries, and an investigation is ongoing.
