Randy McKinley Barnes, Sr. was born on March 9, 1956 in Suffolk, Virginia to the late Alice Mae Horner Barnes and the late Leslie Barnes Sr.

He was the youngest of six Barnes children and grew up in the Saratoga neighborhood of Suffolk, in Virginia.

He is survived by his three children Brandi, Candice, and Randy, Jr.; his seven grandchildren Nathaniel, Savannah, Taylor, Layla, Cameron, Christian, and Daniel; his long-time partner Lysa Wilson, her two children and mother; his brothers William, Alfred, and Bennie Barnes; his “sister-niece” Rhonda Smith; many other Barnes nieces and nephews, and cousins; his devoted “kindred brother” Morris Green, and many extended family.  Randy is preceded in death by his brother Leslie Barnes, Jr. and sister Almeta Barnes Smith.
