The Lakeland High School girls’ soccer team had five players selected to the All-Region teams.

The Lakeland High School girls’ soccer team finished up their season with another region semifinal loss to the top seed in the tournament in Colonial Heights. Their first round was against Park View High School, and they won 2-1.

Callie White, Mikayla Grant and Myasia Pareno all were first team selections. White scored all of Lakeland’s playoff goals. Grant and Pareno had strong tournaments as well.

“Ever since making the varsity squad this had been something I had pushed for,” White said. “I was honestly shocked.”

Darcy Kilgore and Nacaccia Becerra were both second team selections. Lakeland will graduate a total of six players of this year’s team; however, Coach Adam Smith is excited about the young talent Lakeland will have moving up.
