The King’s Fork High School softball team took a loss in the semifinals of the Class 4 Region A tournament.

For the third time this season, the King’s Fork softball team matched up with Great Bridge High School Wednesday evening. However, in the third matchup, King’s Fork took a 5-0 loss, ending their season. Great Bridge was one of the top two seeded teams in the region.

King’s Fork picked up a 2-1 win over Warhill High School in extra innings to advance to the region semifinals game.

Coach Tom Hinnant knew going into the matchup they’d have to be near perfect to beat a stout Great Bridge team. It was a solid game by the Lady Bulldogs, but Hinnant felt like Great Bridge outlasted them.
