Junior Cali Hinnant was an All-Region selection for the King’s Fork High School softball team.

King’s Fork’s softball team’s season recently came to an end after a region tournament semifinals loss to Great Bridge High School. Great Bridge was the top-seeded team in the tournament. The Lady Bulldogs had a strong game in the quarterfinals, taking down Warhill High School.

During the game against Warhill, which went to extra innings, Hinnant had 10 strikeouts with no earned runs. Thus, a strong postseason for the junior earned her a spot on the first team at pitcher. She finishes her junior season to this point with an All-District and All-Region selection.

“You always think you can be better,” she said. “But for what I was able to accomplish, I’m very happy with it. I’m very proud of my team. I gave it my all; that’s all I can really do. I’m very proud of what we were able to accomplish.”

Inside the circle this season, Hinnant went 9-5. In just two region games, Hinnant had 16 strikeouts for the Lady Bulldogs. Hinnant will head into the summer excited about putting in work for her senior season.
