Jesse Thomas Jurnigan Jr., 92, passed away June 4, 2019. He was born in Severn, Md., the son of the late Jesse Thomas Jurnigan Sr. and Cecilia Friedel Jurnigan. He was predeceased by his wife, Carrie Copeland Jurnigan, and daughter, Linda L. Jurnigan. Jesse was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He later went on to work and retired from Union Camp. He was a member of Open Door Church.

Jesse is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Stanley Jurnigan (Donna), Steve Thomas Jurnigan (Jan); grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin Jurnigan (Susan), Karen Latimer, Tracey Fox, Stephanie Ritter (Jason) and Steve Jurnigan II; great-grandchildren, Bridget, Brianna, Alex, Megan, Lela and Elliot.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Tony Peaks officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
