Constance Adger

Constance Adger, 72, of Darby Court, Suffolk, transitioned Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Sarah Swan and Clarence Swan.

She was a graduate of William Penn High School for Girls. She also attended Philadelphia College of Textiles/Philadelphia College of Arts. She retired in 2009 from SunTrust Bank after eight years of faithful and dedicated service. She was a member of Love Christian Center, where she was the church elder and superintendent of the Sunday School and Evangelistic Outreach Ministry.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Lamont Adger, of Suffolk; three sons, Deric Adger (Krystal), of Philadelphia, Pa., Shawn Adger (Tulani), of Hamden, Conn., and Brandon Adger (Sharonda), of Portsmouth; three sisters, Betty Mason, of Portsmouth, Sara Swan and Mary Ann Holmes (Charles), both of Philadelphia, Pa.; brother, Danny Singleton (Carol), of Neptune, N.J.; six grandchildren, Aeneas, Ashanti, Zavion, Aaron, Sarei and Anisa; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Special recognition and appreciation to her sister-in-law, Michele C. Faulk (Richard), of Suffolk.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Love Christian Center, 143 S. Saratoga St., Suffolk. Dr. Willie B. Royster, senior pastor, will deliver the message of comfort. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
