Peanut Fest tickets for early chalk artists

The Suffolk Art Gallery announced Thursday that registration is open for the annual chalk art competition that will be held at the Suffolk Peanut Festival this October.
The Chalk Art Competition will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Suffolk Executive Airport, 1200 Gene Bolton Drive.
According to the press release, pre-registration is available for the first 20 participants ages 5 and older. Those who preregister will each receive a Peanut Fest admission ticket that’s good for Oct. 12. Pre-registration must be completed by Sept. 21, and any remaining spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis the day of the event.
Cash prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners in each of the four divisions.
