The Nansemond River High School field hockey team earned a 9-0 win over Churchland High School Monday afternoon.

The Lady Warriors hosted Churchland in a non-conference matchup in which the Lady Warriors shined. Seven Lady Warriors scored for the game, led by Halle Fago with a hat-trick. Shelby Knaak added two goals as well.

Next for the Lady Warriors will be their other rival Lakeland High School on Wednesday evening. Lakeland will host. With a win, Nansemond River can secure the 2019 city championship. The Lady Warriors defeated King’s Fork High School in the season opener to go to 1-0 against its rivals.
