Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to a small fire at Chorey Park Apartments on Friday evening.

The fire in the 800 block of West Constance Road was reported at 6:48 p.m., according to a city press release.

The first units arrived on scene at 6:52 p.m. and found a small fire in an apartment on the third floor, the release stated. They extinguished it quickly with a water can and kept it contained to that apartment.

The third floor was evacuated due to smoky conditions, the release stated, but there were no injuries. No one was reported displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
