Delores Scott Jones, 63, transitioned on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2019, at Riverside Hospital in Newport News.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Randolph Scott and Cleo Jacobs. Honorable mention special parents that raised her were Harrison and Annie Mae Eason.

She leaves to cherish memories, her husband, L. Darryl Jones; her children, Cleo Scott-Wiggins (Darryl) and Tavaris “Man” Scott Sr., of Suffolk; two sisters, Clara Willoughby, of Greenville, N.C., and special caretaker, Rose Johnson (Robert), of Hampton; four brothers, Henry Jacobs (Gina), of Richmond, Joseph Eason, Pernell Eason (Irene) and Alton Eason, of Suffolk; seven grandchildren, Brooke Scott Jordan (Johnny), of Lawrenceville, Ga., Tiara Wiggins, Demontay Jenkins, Amani Scott, Tavaris Scott Jr., Ta’maya Solomon-Scott and Javaris Scott, all of Suffolk; three great-grandchildren, Malakai Scott Jordan, Jade Jordan and Jace Jordan, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; several aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home Inc., 405 Johnson Ave., Suffolk, VA 23434.
